Learning to drive should feel calm, not terrifying.

I teach at a pace that suits you, on quiet local roads to start and out onto the busier Hills roads when you're ready. No yelling, no rushing, just steady progress towards your licence.

Meet your instructor

Hi, I'm Lynne

I'm a fully accredited driving instructor based in Nairne, teaching learners right across the Adelaide Hills, Murray Bridge and Strathalbyn. I hold a Cert IV in Motor Driver Training, I'm a member of the Australian Driver Trainers Association of South Australia (ADTASA), and I bring a background in disability studies and mental health first aid to every lesson. That means I'm patient with nervous first-timers and I tailor each lesson to the person in the seat. My goal is simple: to help you become a safe and confident driver who is skilled and prepared for not just the test but your driving future.

Why a calm, local instructor matters

Learning to drive in the Hills should not feel like a gamble

Every road around here has its own quirks, and local knowledge is what turns them from a worry into just another drive. I teach on the roads you'll actually be using, so you learn to read the conditions in front of you rather than memorise a single route.

01

Nervous about getting started

First lessons can feel daunting. I start gently on quiet roads and build from there, so you feel safe and in control from the very first session.

02

Hills roads are not forgiving for beginners

Tight corners, changeable weather and roads that keep you thinking make the Hills a demanding place to learn. I know these roads, so we practise the conditions you'll actually face.

03

The VORT feels like a closed door

Not knowing what the day will throw at you is stressful. I prepare you for the scenarios you could face in the test and in everyday driving, so you're ready for whatever comes up rather than banking on one route.

Built for the Adelaide Hills

An instructor who knows these roads

Learning where you'll drive matters. I live and teach across the Adelaide Hills and Murray Bridge, so we practise on the kinds of roads you'll actually be driving: winding sections, roundabouts, country stretches and the busier main roads. Your lessons reflect real local conditions, not a car park somewhere flat.

Learners and parents across the Hills

Highly recommend Lynne at Adelaide Hills Driving School!! She was amazing with my daughter, so patient, kind and knowledgeable. She builds such a great connection with teenagers that makes them feel so comfortable. Her email feedback after each lesson is so detailed and helpful. She's the best in the business, look no further!!
